Volunteers Needed!!
There's a great opportunity to get involved in a monthly activity during the school year! Science Power is a program designed to get Utah Valley's Junior High-aged girls excited about science, educate them about the different fields in the sciences and ultimately encourage them to pursue a science degree.
The activities are always a blast and involve a guest lecturer, usually a professor from BYU, followed by a hands-on activity like dissections, experiments, etc. The volunteers would help the girls perform the dissections/experiments and help set things up for the activity. The activities are held on campus here on Saturday mornings, usually from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
If this sounds like something you would like to get involved with, email Science Power and let them know you're interested.
