Premed Peer Mentoring (PPM):

Ever wish there was or had been somebody who had already gone through the same steps that could answer additional questions about the premed experience, check your progress, and provide personal advice?  The PPM program does exactly that on a regular basis for club members that wish to participate.  Mentors are selected based on qualifications and experience in needed areas, and "mentees" are linked to those that are most similar in factors such as major, gender, etc.  For students in their final years before graduation, becoming a mentor gives an exceptional service experience and while forming lasting relationships.  Apply for one of these two positions today!  Applications for both are available on the club website.

Mission Statement:

The Pre-Medical Club exists to help educate, prepare, and motivate Brigham Young University’s pre-med undergraduate students during their journey towards medical school.  It does this by providing  experiences, and networking, as well as how to best use other resources available ..  The club promotes high ethical conduct, supports the BYU Honor Code, and aligns all efforts with BYU's Mission and Aims.  The ultimate goal is to provide direction and opportunities in a timely and convenient way in order to strengthen all aspects of the student's application and to help develop these individuals into the future physicians and leaders of tomorrow.

New Premed Students:

As a new premed student there is a significant quantity of  information to learn and tasks to perform.  Find personalized assistance with a mentor, or simply take advantage of the numerous events, opportunities, and website resources available to all club members.  Once dues are paid, membership is good for the entire school year.  We look forward to seeing you!

Continuing Premed Students:

While the end goal of becoming a physician remains the same over time, the needs of premed students evolve.  Fortunately, the resources of the Premed Club do as well.  We invite you to come tour a med-school with us or even become a mentor to incoming premed students.  Utilize our exclusive website to finalize aspects of your application and discover special events on MCAT prep (including discounts), scholarships, key speakers such as deans of admission and health care administrators, and many more.
