Service

Medical schools often stress the need for involvement in extracurricular activities.  In a medical school applicant’s repertoire of extracurricular involvement, there must be a relatively healthy amount of service activities.  These activities can include volunteering at a local hospital, volunteer tutoring at BYU or a learning center, going on international service programs, or any other service opportunity available.  Involvement in service opportunities do not necessarily need to be centered on the health field.
